I think there is typo in title it should be billion not million. They surely racked huge amount of money. Hope to see a season 2 announcement soon.

I was just going to mention that. And for the record, Garupan just surpassed the K-On! movie to become the 6th-highest grossing anime film adapted from a late-night series. It could still potentially surpass Madoka Rebellion and the first Rebuild of Evangelion movie too - those movies aren't that far ahead of it.
I'm looking forward to when it gets licensed and I can finally watch it stateside. |

It seems that the film of Girls und Panzer is bound to surpass Madoka Magica with this much being brought in!
 Perhaps the world of tanks is starting to become of high interest...

How much did Homubellion rake in? I love the Madoka franchise, but I still would be delighted to hear GuP overtake it in ticket sales.

It's above the K-ON movie and just needs to snuggle up between the Evangelions and take a nice nap among the stars. I am happy enough already.
