Oh so it's a new manga rather than animated material. I wonder what kind of content will extend in this story? Perhaps a time skip?

I hope that Meiling is included in this manga. She was always my favorite but she was an anime original.

Maybe something to bridge CCS and Tsubasa Chronicles?
...Probably not, and I'm not even sure I'd like that. I just kind of have no clue what else they could do with their franchise outside of some SOL chapters and that.

I'm laughing way harder at this than I should be.
I'm excited, just to see what it is if nothing else.

In all honesty...every new manga that clamp has produced these last few years have been nothing but sequels to there older titles...can't they just go come up with new material?..or if they have to continue titles why not starting off with there other titles that have been on hiatus for years such as Legal Drop or X/1999 or even GATE 7..jeez.

I'm guessing that it will be some sorts of epilogue.

Yeah it makes me sad... CLAMP used to be my favorite as an intro to a bunch of anime and manga. Ireally used to look up to them, but now I'm losing respect :/ I have a hard time buying new material from them, knowing that I will only get a couple volumes and need to wait on another hiatus will they ride the nostalgia train of another old series :/ I started getting Gate 7 and haven't even read vol 4 because why bother? Who knows when the next one will be out... I'll just re-read it all in one go for... whenever it starts back up. Same with Drug and Drop, bought vol 1-2 on a Rightstuf sale, but why read them yet? Haven't even bought xxxHOLiC Rei yet due to this :/
I have NO problem if they want to make sequels and such but PLEASE PLEASE FINISH WHAT YOU DO FIRST!!! Sure I'd love a new CCS, but NOT when there's a few other stories that I was also trying to follow, hanging in the air :/

Isn't the official story that the ending is too disturbing to be published as written? That is, CLAMP's publishers all said, "Could you tone it down a bit?" and CLAMP said, "No."

Well this is a surprise. Curious to see what they'll come up with.

The official story is that the previous lead artist, Mokona, has arthritis in her hand. They've stated that if they were to finish X, they'd want it to be done in the same style, Mokona's style, and that's not going to happen due to her arthritis.
The series was originally put on hold due to some occurrences, one of which was an earthquake in Japan since there was also an earthquake in the manga. A few excuses later and it getting put on hold more and more, and Mokona's arthritis got too bad to continue.

Hardy surprising if one considers that Tsubasa - World Chronicle - Niraikanai Hen (i dropped that mess before Vol.1 came out) was a bust, that xxxHoLic Rei (i dropped it after Vol.3) redefines the term "ongoing" and that they 100% managed to loose relevance with the actual target demographic of the magazines in question. Aka. young people who don´t know who Clamp is, so to they had to turn on the nostalgia printing press... I expect nothing and little involvement from the semi-retired core team.
The given reason for the "hiatus" (it´s dead) for X/1999 makes NO sense from any financial standpoint. Kadokawa could have moved it over to any other magazine and Banana Fish was still Shoujo the last time i checked. They couldn´t have matched the TV anime anyway.

Then someone needs to go and sit next to her, hold her damn hand, and help her draw it. Half joking half serious. I've resigned myself to the fact it will never get done at this point so it's best not to hope for the contrary.
