One volume... ouch. Although, I was honestly expecting this. I enjoyed the first three chapters of this series, but it wasn't as good as Cross Manage (which was bloody brilliant), and Cross Manage didn't last too long either.

Is this even shorter than Tokyo Wonder Boys? That only had one volume, but it was larger than usual one with ten chapters.
Hoping KAITO will end up like Horikoshi... a five volume manga, a complete failure manga, and then finally something really successful?

This poor mangaka was axed per Togashi's orders... Doesn't want to share his revenue to other mangakas...
But jokes aside, it's not really that unusual to see Jump cancelling even under 10 chapter titles nowadays. But despite that, mangakas seems to thrive getting their work in Jump even though there's the laxer Kodansha and Sunday, or even Champion...

I gave up halfway through the first chapter. At least Cross Manage had a sport that never gets covered in manga, and a nice twist where the MC is just the team manager, not a player. But this was so generic -- if you've read Adachi, Ace of Diamond, Big Windup, etc., you could tell exactly what was going to happen next.

Hmm. One volume. It got the same fate as Erobot. Bummer, but I can't say I didn't see it getting canned early on. I wonder if that's due to Weekly Shonen Jump having a pretty high amount of popular series right now (One Piece, My Hero Academia, Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Assassination Classroom, Black Clover) and some other series that, while rarely at or near the top, are performing stably (Toriko, Nisekoi, Hinomaru Zumo, Haikyu!!, World Trigger) and...Bleach, which has immunity from cancellation for now. It's a crowded parking lot at WSJ right now.

Is that how long that zoo one lasted? Barrage at least got to its second volume though.
