This Gundam Thunderbolt is basically everything I want in Gundam. It really is a stunning production and the scenario is compelling enough to keep watching beyond the production values. I need this in my collection someday.

Now the music's terrible, and I'm forced to watch Velma from Scooby Doo in a dark and gritty context.

Mostly just watching this for the incredible animation, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Characters and story are just decent so far though.

I wouldn't want to see Thunderbolt dragged down into a 26 episode show with a slog in the center like most Gundams, but longer episodes would have been appreciated. It's definitely more of the stuff I want to see Gundam doing, and just real-robot mecha in general.

Anyone know why Episode 1 is no longer on Gundaminfo's Youtube channel? Is it typical for them to remove steaming titles over time?

I don't think I've ever been this excited for a Gundam show before, so I can't wait for the next ep. At this point I hope we an English release for the manga as well.

I noticed it too. Who knows? maybe they felt if the episode was up too long nobody would pay for it?

It was stated that it'd only be up for free for a limited time. They do that with most episodes of their shows and make them available later on for another limited time.
That seems to be how Gundam.info rolls.

^ah, so that's why. Anyway, I'm glad they're putting it for free in the first place, it's probably the best way to advertise the show.

Given that thunderbolt is a side story 26 episodes would be too much but 12 episodes would have been good. Though the production value would have most likely taken a hit if it was a TV series.
