Initially, I wasn't sure if FMA would do well on blu-ray considering it would be an upscale, but I decided to go for it since it is my favorite series, and since the show was and continues to be a big enough deal that it would probably get extra attention on the remastering. It doesn't disappoint. I opted for the premium edition, which turned out quite well, but I'm disappointed to read that the mid-tier version was a letdown. You'd think for that price it would at least warrant a chipboard box.

I've been collecting for only a few years now.

And yet with a shelf full of Aniplex of America blu-rays, you've already done more damage than someone who sells bootlegs their entire life. Sad But I digress.

As someone who played the hell out of the Dangaronpa games, I thought this mini-review was a little too generous.

Still heavily debating if I want to shell out the extra cash for the collectors FMA release. I already own the entire thing on individual dvds (ah, yes. The joys of buy the entire series 4 episodes at a time for 20 bucks a piece), and most of them are signed as well. Having a duplicate seems like a bit much...but those extras are hard to pass up...

To Luke - Your shelves look lovely from a distance, but burn my eyes up close! xD My collection is all alphabetical order since I'm OCD like that, haha. Ranma 1/2 being arranged 7 to 1 instead of 1 to 7 is killing me. But great collection even if our styles are different!

I'm still angry at myself and funimation for the timing of their blu-ray release. I had held off adding the 2 DVD sets of Fullmetal Alchemist to my Rightstuf purchases for a while. Of course the time I finally do go ahead and buy the full thing on DVD, less than a month later the Blu-Ray releases get announced. Had I bought the DVDs a year before I'd have no issue upgrading to Blu-Ray, but it just feels awful to have bought it on DVD and then upgrade to Blu-Ray in such a short amount of time so I haven't bothered yet. Maybe I will eventually after enough time passes and it doesn't feel so bad.

Very nice shelves. I like to organize mine based on how they look too. The only problem is that over the years and my collection grows larger, it is harder for me to find stuff! I'm a sucker for artboxes, and I love the way you have displayed yours. Very Happy
