This makes it sound like it's much later with all-new material. There was quite a bit after New Address they never animated and then the manga ended right after they got to Paris... Maybe this is all-new adventures only in Paris?

This'll be interesting, we'll see if it might reboot itself, or its a continuation for Chi so far.

Well, i guess it can work in 3D CG considering that the imagery is very simple. But I wonder what they would cover.

Yeah, I can see this actually working with 3-D CG quite well and done quite cheaply too. The simple art style could mean they'll dedicate more of their budget to detailed movements and subtle effects.
