Ah those some are some decent cast choices.
4 episodes huh?
At least it'll probably be high production quality now.

So it'll be a UC version of Stargazer then?

It's Mr. Bushido vs. L-Elf, huh? Nice choice for the lead characters.
Though, 4 episodes, will be tough to accept if it'll be just regular 25 minute flick. Hope it'll be at least an hour!

huh? how? because it takes place during the first Gundam? I guess you're right, but UC did that that before (and a lot) : War in the Pocket OVA (6 episodes) took place during the first Gundam (released in 1989) and 08th MS Team OVA also took place during the first Gundam (released in 1996)

Because it's a really short anime released on the web. So far Stargazer is the only one like that.

Oh come on! Only 4 and less than 20 minutes each?
But what I want to know is how they're going to adapt from a manga that's still ongoing.

Wait, is each episode only going to be 18 minutes long? That's kind of disappointing. And yet I suspect the home release will be just as expensive as Unicorn and The Origin.

Sounds like OVA in disguise or a movie. 4 episode 25 = barely 1 hour half movie like setup.
Gundam their using looks weird with those manupulator arms holding the gun's stuff while its doing other things with it's hands, like holding the shield.

Probably referring to the fact it's short, not airing on mainstream TV and probably is a budget project. Stargazer was aired only aired on a satellite network iirc, was only forty-five minutes in total and split into three parts.

Oh anime gods, it's directed by Valvrave's director. This is not a good sign.

Looks like I'm waiting for the BDs, pay per episode is a terrible model for anime.

The problem with Valvrave is not the director, but how the story was written.

Man what in the hell are you talking about... 500 yen per episode is a far more consumer friendly model than the BD model of paying well over 10x that for 2-3 episodes.

Ha, it looks like Kou Matsuo will finally be directing a Gundam series (though he did do a short work attached to a video game and the GBF precursor). It always felt like Sunrise was grooming him for one and now they are giving him the reins with a fuller OVA (scripting included). I still completely expect him to direct a TV series down the road, but that it'll likely hinge on the success of Thunderbolt.
It's awesome to see that he will be employing hard-edged/distinctive character designs, as he tends to, particularly with Kekkaishi's Hirotoshi Takaya adapting the original's. Thunderbolt certainly looks good from the screencaps, but hopefully it will actually be good, both in motion and as a whole, as Matsuo's quality can be iffy at times.

I'm really interested in this now, just the premise and those character designs are making this stand out from many of the other Gundam shows. That said, 4 bucks for an episode?, I dunno...
