[To Do] Split/Merger: Dirty Pair Flash --> D.P. Flash 1–3

Currently Dirty Pair Flash (OAV) (#261) contains the individual series

• Dirty Pair Flash 1 (OAV) (#535)
• Dirty Pair Flash 2 (OAV) (#536)
• Dirty Pair Flash 3 (OAV) (#537)

Since there is no separate D.P. Flash, only the three OAV series, the latter two of which are sequels to the first—there is no complicated relationship here—it seems to me that D.P. Flash (#261) is redundant and its information should be split among the child entries.

Edit: Oops—I already requested this in the "Duplicate anime/manga titles" thread back in 2005. Anime smile + sweatdrop

Here's the thing. For DPF you'll notice that's it's not possible to enter Japanese staff; Japanese staff should be entered under Dirty Pair Flash 1, 2 and 3. And for DPF 1-3 it's not possible to enter cast for any language; cast should be entered in the parent anime (Dirty Pair Flash).

I only have the dimmest recollection of why I set up things that way (this was in 2002). I think it had something to do with the staff changing a lot for each of the 3 series while the cast didn't change much. Unfortunately I only did a halfway job with the mutual exclusions, now resulting in duplicate data for Japanese companies and for English staff & companies.

So now I changed it so that Japanese staff & companies must be added under DPF 1-3 and everything else under DPF. How does that sound? If we can agree that's a sensible solution I'll start moving/merging credits that are not in the right series.

I'd really rather do it the standard way—treat each of the DPF OAV series as separate (but related, of course), and eliminate the "parent" entry. I don't see why this should be an exception to the rest of the Encyclopedia.
