This is where the beauty of scanlations comes in.

And over a quarter of that 20 million has come in the past 5 months. It's pretty crazy the run Kingdom has been on.
I do hope this might encourage at least another anime season. I'd love to see a full anime reboot, giving it the TLC it deserves, but that won't happen in the next several years, if ever. As much as I want the series to be licensed, I doubt anybody is willing to translate 40 volumes. At the very least they could sell the series digital only and then maybe do some multi volume books, but nobody seems to care, even though I think this series could be very popular in the west.
It's nice to see the series has really strong growth in Japan right now. It's always been a relatively popular series, in recent years it's been in the top 30 and seems to be a staple series for Young Jump, but now it seems to be extremely popular. With many years/volumes left, it still has room to grow.

This manga can be really depressing when you have a good grasp of Chinese history, especially during the Warring States period and the Qin dynasty.

In situations like this, I see such a unique idea that likely won't happen: That is, the Japanese rights holders consent/supervise a scanlation team
and it gets put on Crunchyroll.
*While the accuracy of a scanlation is questionable, I would imagine that there are some groups out there that have people do have the translation skill of a professional. I say this because there maybe some people out there who have studied enough Japanese that they might rival the professionals. The same goes with fansubs.

Think the author wrote that he was one third though at chapter 370 or something like that ^^.
Kingdom is such an amazing series btw! I always recommend it.
