It's kind of weird. It once it feels like I waited forever for this and yet it's snuck up on me. I loved that first episode and I'm sure this new one will be interesting, too. It's a compelling look at the backstory of the original Mobile Suit Gundam story and some of its glossed over political machinations. The only real flaw I've found, aside from a few jankie looking CG bits (but most are okay) is that apparently (according to Yas) Zeon Daikun and Rimba Ral were both paranoid psychotics instead of the cinnamon buns too perfect for thi world they were depicted in the original series. Of course, most people are flawed, but these guys are loony tunes. It makes the Newtype thing seem like just a lucky fluke. But otherwise, I like seeing how Char developed into who he is at the beginning of the original series/movies.

I'm so pissed that I missed my chance to order this. By the time I remembered to check for the item they were already not accepting pre-orders.
Can only hope that Rightstuf has some extra copies I guess... |
