Ah man I'm really looking forward to the SAO movie. Sure it will be anime original but there's so many directions they can go in with it that weren't tackled in the light novels.

I hear they were going to adapt Progressive in this movie but ended up going with the main story.
I hope Progressive gets a TV anime eventually

Super excited for the Sword Art Online movie! Can't wait to watch it once the blurays and dub are released and hopefully the wait before a season 3 is announced isn't too long

If you had told me SHAFT would be the one to demonstrate actual new animation here over A-1 Pictures I would have scarcely believed it but we live in strange times. Unfortunately I lack interest in either of these properties so won't be seeing the movies whatever comes of them.

Season 1 was summer 2012, season 2 was 2014 summer, so if i had to guess, we should get SAO season 3 at summer 2016. Let's hope for the best

Every time I watch Kizumono's trailer, I get more hyped about it. I hope it gets a theatrical release in the USA.

This Progressive you mention, is it a retelling of the original story or more side stories?

I believe Ito mentioned in an interview recently that there are no plans to adapt Progressive since the Aincrad arc has already been told, and it would be redundant in a TV broadcasted series to repeat the same story.

Progressive covers the events in the first story arc, Aincrad, starting with the first floor. As of now, I think the 4th floor has been cleared in the Progressive light novels. Still got a long way to go.

Retelling of the first arc, it has been covering 1~2 floors per volume.

Or they're going to pull an Index where they do 2 seasons, a movie, and then never heard from again.

? You seen like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? That uses a bunch of different styles...hell most Shaft shows switch styles for comedic effect.

WTF did I just watch? How is that trailer for Kizu what was shown a few years ago when they first released a trailer. And correct me if I'm wrong but at that time it was only one. It looks like they through it out and started from scratch, turning one in to 3.

First image could maybe be Kirito.
Second image is clearly a female, as it has a chest.
Third image is IDK.
I hate Accel World and don't keep up with the latest light novels. If it turns out to be a true sequel to SAO, then I might consider reading it. But I don't have text context for those images, so it could be intentionally misleading.
