no official price drop for the NA region yet.. but Costco listed the PS4 for $370 for a while now
more games and a bit of a price drop will bring in more sales.
just hope PSN can handle the influx of users..
This black friday might be a good time to get a PS4 for those who are still on the fence.. they should have some nice bundles available.
my PS3 still have a lot of games. they even announced Yakuza for the PS3

So I guess that means it'll be around $299 in the US then.

Leave it to good old capitalism if the US doesn't get a similar price drop.

Why do they like to market bonus material with a decimal number? Is it more catchy? For me, something along the lines of "director's cut" or "special edition" looks cooler.

mm-hmm. Given that they were in a "bad" situation with the sales in the JP market, let's see how this changes a bit. (Well, PS4 is doing awesome in the west, but not "so much" in Japan.)

$350.. i don't think it will get lower than that
$300 PS4 SLIM with 1TB or 1.5TB. then it's time to get a PS4..
This black friday when they have PS4 games for $10-$15..so it's time to pick them up
Maybe i can get The Last of Us Remastered for $10-$15.. that would be a steal. I love naughty dog's games.

That's likely the reason for the price drop in Japan - using a price drop where they need help. (The PS4 is trending below the PS3 was at the same points in age-time.)
They don't need help in the US, so there's no need for a price drop there. Plus Sony is now focusing on profitability since they're in the red the last few years, so they're not going for market share which is already pretty good. And the yen is weak right now against the dollar, so they convert extra profits overseas outside Japan that would easily cover the price drop in Japan.
