No, we don't allow pop-ups. We even have a script on the server that's supposed to kill any pop-ups that manage to sneak their way onto the site through one of the outside ad-serving networks we use.

I know we have a small problem with UK readers getting pops, but you're the first North American to complain about this recently...

Next time it happens, can you give us the ad info from the bottom of the page (ie: "Ads by Anime Castle (7202) & [System] (2)") and include the ad at the top of the page in your screenshot. It will help us identify who is responsible and get rid of the pop ups.

Here. I saw exactly the same pop-up ad.

It seems like "UK ads = Non-North American ads".

Yes, I have been getting the same ad. I have the Firefox pop up blocker running, but recently added ANN as a site for which to allow pop ups and that's when I started seeing that ad. I just figured it had always been there but my pop up blocker had been stopping it until I "whitelisted" the site for pop ups. (I wanted to be able to see PM notifications if I got any.)

Edit: I don't have a screencap, but the banner ad is the one that says, "We Need Your Help! Take a short online survey," and is for a site called "Questionmarket.com".

The info at the bottom of the screen was:

Ads by Gorilla Nation (7568) & Dark Horse (7667)

If you leave it alone for a while (like a minute), the pop up disappears by itself.

Didn't know if I should post this here or start another thread, but twice in this visit alone I've had two pop ups blocked from Questionmarket.com.

It has always happened when the banner ad is displayed at the top of the page. I'm pretty clueless about HTML, or I would have attempted to post code, or a link, or something.

If this is an issue for anyone else, can they give me a hand?
