Could someone tell me where in the Bleach manga the anime is? I wanna start reading the manga but not from the very beginning. Can anyone tell me where the manga and the anime match up at?

Are you talking about the English releases or the Japanese releases?
In Japan: The anime is currently in filler episodes which have no manga counterpart. The previous arc (the Soul Society arc) ended around volume 19 (I'm not sure since I've only read the Viz release, but that's my guess based on what's happened as of volume 15 of the manga). In U.S.A.: The Adult Swim episodes should have covered up to about volume 4, I believe. |

I believe the last volume currently animated is 20, it's called "End of Hypnosis". Volume 16 came out this week... unfortunately even with Viz's bimonthly releases it'll be another 10 months before volume 21 is out

I meant by chapter because I plan on reading the chapter releases and I want to know what chapter the soul society arc ended and then I will marathon the rest up to the latest release in Japan.
