Did they show the party die on purpose to let the fans know they're going back to old school JRPG, where if you take one wrong turn you'll end up in an area with NPC that are far stronger than you?

I hope we get a great villain this time, the last three from 13, 12 and X-2 are really bland and boring.

Yeah, I can't remember the villain from ff12. Beat it but he was way too generic to make any lasting presence.
...really all I truly remember if "dont open that chest at the beginning" and Bunny-woman and Pirate man (Fran and Balthier).

I have to admit the motion is doing better. I was impressed with the walk and then break into a run and slow downs. But that Malboro looks vicious with mouth pouring with poison gas.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, like it was some anti-smoking commercial involving the Marlboro Man cowboy character.

Malboro-- the most annoying random monster in FFVIII...

Its bad breath attack will cause all kind of status ailments.

It was nothing in FFX though Confused
