Reading this, I can only hope Funimation will finally make an Otakon announcement concerning the movie.

They had that listed on their website a while ago actually, I saw it at least last month. Still, I do plan to buy it. And with this and Rose of Versailles, looks like they'll be getting more of my money than usual.

They finally announced this! You could pre-order the first volume on Amazon and BookDepository back in May (which is something I did). Glad they got the word out. Had asked them about it on Twitter...but didn't get a reply, back in May.
Guess they were wanting to wait until SDCC.

Funimation has already announced they've licensed the movie, just no release date yet.

I'd be more excited if this were one of the spin-offs, but it's still a nice surprise.

Well, if this manga release turns out to be worth Udon's time ($$$), we could see more.
I'd love to be able to check out the spin off/alternate time line stories. Would also like to see the manga adaption of the movie, and the Epigraph Trilogy is something I'd like to be able to check out too.
The thing with a lot of the Steins;Gate manga is, they don't take a big commitment. While there some one-shots, there aren't many that go over 4 volumes.
Still, I'm definitely buying this manga, and hope that there are more to come. If not, at least I got this series.
