I'll never understand why anyone would like that bitch Erina when there are so many more interesting characters

She's not even had her "come to Jesus moment" where she stops being a bitch as is standard in a shounen series.

I actually like Erina. Even in episode 2 you can sort of see a cute side hiding under bitch shell. I also find her character to be interesting because she knows the truth. The truth is that Soma's cooking pleases her god tongue, her palette. But because he comes from a diner AND he told her to get off her high horse, she refuses to accept that truth and it makes it interesting. She's trying to get it to go away and epically failing because he just keeps pressing with his cooking skills. They blend well together.

So you like her because she's so arrogant that she would fail a student for disrespecting her? That would ruin that student's chances at entering the most elite school in the country just because he damaged her pride?
You have some weird tastes.

I voted for Erina Nakiri. She may look irritable but she must a softer side hidden within her somewhere.

I never liked Erina that much in the manga since it didn't really feel like she had much presence, but the anime's pacing has started to make me appreciate her character more since it feels like she has more exposure. I still think her being number 2 is a bit much, but so long as Soma is number 1 it's all good.

I don't consider Erina's bitchiness to be any worse than Bakugou's bully kid phase in the first 10 chapters of my hero academia. Erina honestly didn't really seem to do that much to irritate me whereas I disliked Bakugou from his introduction. Yes he has his own arc going on and it slowly getting better but still.
But Megumi only got 4th? What a load of bull. Oh well at least I like all the characters who got in the top 10.

No. He said he liked her because she and the main character blend well together.

Huh, Akira Hayama shows up twice in the ANN poll.

She's an imperious busty blond tsundere ojou-sama.
Japan needs nothing more. I'm honestly (and pleasantly) surprised Souma came in first. He's got my vote, that's for certain.

Yeah I also don't understand why people like Erina so much. For me she's just another annoying tsundere. But I guess people just like tsunderes that much.

Going to have to put myself in the group who just don't like Erina enough to think that she deserves 2nd place in a popularity ranking. I don't mind her tsundere tendencies or her haughty attiude...It's that she's too out of focused and boring to me that I can't even consider her "main character."

Aww, Megumi's rank dropped since last time...It's because she hasn't gotten to do anything in practically forever...
The manga needs more Tadokoro-chan focus, dangit!

What can we say? The Japanese love their tsundere.
But, where's the squid?!
