Don't give Hollywood any ideas, or that just might happen.

I'll gladly support this shinji no matter what anyone else says. This was absolutely epic.

A hypothetical Michael Bay Evangelion adaptation is just as likely to look like Bad Boys, The Rock, The Island, or Pain & Gain.
Seriously, people these days are distressingly quick to forget that Michael Bay has done a lot more than just Transformers. |

The difference is people liked The Rock. It was a good movie.

I like watching the Animation Domination vids to see how much they don't even try to add thoughtful humor. Just take everything and make it vulgar, because some people consider that humor.

It wasn't bad, but my personal favorite Eva spoof is still Pimpvangelion.

This actually feels like a negative satire against people who wanted the MC too have more balls. The first line that Shinji makes to question his father, making an over the top reaction too this, is already a left field reaction that is outside a regular persons reasoning. It makes Shinji's reaction in the original to actually feel very mature. The middle part though is a mixed bag even though its got that egoraptor style of comedy. It just shows him as the stereotypical 80's action hero though very entertaining, it wouldn't be handled seriously. Case in point with these scenes with Shinji not caring or trying to figure out peoples feelings no matter how broken he is on doing it. But everything close to the very end paints that Shinji in a more individual personality would accidentally but carelessly cause the apocalypse. And not give a EF about humanities way in the bigger picture, leading to him carelessly recreate the world. No matter who goes against his opinion. Which Shinji in the original series realized and then desired to set things right for himself and his past actions which even though he was partially controlled, overall were caused by his hand. But he went through to stop 3rd impact. This shows how great the original is for Shinji's personality along with every other character in this. While making this video semi entertaining.............but if the developers did'nt think like that. Then I lost so much respect lolololol

If you guys haven't already you should check out the Evangelion Comic Tribute manga, and the recently released Tony Takezaki's NGE.
I highly recommend! |

Hey, I'm all for parodies, but this just seemed like they added in some bro attitude and vulgar language. Oh, and so basically Shinji would just be Kamina then? Then why not just watch Gurren Lagann? There's your simple solution right there.

It's sad but true, being vulgar is easy, so they know that is all they have to do, unfortunately people seem to fall for it. |
