I'm not quite sure why they would go with 1984 considering that the original Metal Gear came out in 1987.

I am so curious to see where the whole head transplant speculation will go (hello Neogaf), if we will get a new Snake in PP, if Revengeance 2 is real and if this whole thing is just a ruse by Troll-jima.
Or he just went so far in the past that am willing to believe everything by now regardless of how improbable (or illegal) it is. Well Konami makes way more money with bottled water (!), Pachinko and so on in japan so they may be closing down the risky games division for good... but putting up my tinfoil hat for now is way more fun. Anybody noticed that right in the first line of this article, it's written "Konomi" and not "Konami"?
