god damn it sunrise our we ever going to see horizon in the middle of nowhere and Accel world season 2 ? I was under the impression if something sold well chances of a season 2 would grow did I miss something ?

Love Live! is the biggest selling anime of recent years so it makes sense from a business perspective to make more Love Live! while the franchise is so popular.

I am disappointed that Sunrise did not bother to use nine of the Normal girls from School Idol Festival. Kind of a wasted opportunity. Now I am curious to see how this new entry will go and I hope the new girls' VAs will become breakout stars from it.

That says he wants Accel World but they're busy with other things, which probably means making a buttload of money from Love Live! So Accel World may happen in the future but Love Live! is their biggest success so that is their priority for now.

Additional bit of information here, Arisa Komiya played Yoko Usami/Yellow Buster in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, a Super Sentai Series written by Yasuko Kobayashi (Attack on Titan, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure). Sadly, said series didn't have a Power Rangers adaptation.

So this is officially a new "edition" of Love Live? Yesssssssss. I cannot wait to fall in (platonic, non-heterosexual) love with these new girls too.

I don't know, there are far too many "original" characters in SIF to really work with. I think it would be really cool for them to make cameos in the new anime, though.

The new girls don't seem to have the spirit of the old cast, they're mediocre. I'm too attached to the original cast which were almost flawless.
The voice cast might be good however I never heard of any of them. I'll at least give a song a chance so I can hear the voices if they release music videos.

Seeing the individual pictures of the new girls I like them a lot more. Being able to match the faces to the names and introductions makes them feel a bit more fleshed out. Ruby is really cute and I think her and Daiya will have an interesting sister dynamic!

that pretty depressing that might make me resent love live a little I hope this not some new anime

There are still people who spell Eli as "Eri" & Nico as "Niko" so I think we might have to get used to people ignoring the official spelling...
