How interesting...
The premise sounds nice so I'm curious how far they will take this.

Still need to pick up that Devilman DVD set, but this does look pretty cool. Wonder if it'll be a TV series or something else.

... Okay, but I don't know if it's going to do it very well. I read the Devilman manga and it's interesting to read it from a manga history standpoint and if you are curious about Go Nagai's most decent works; but the work itself, while not bad for its time, it's extremely dated and the plot falls a little in the Yu Yu Hakusho "changing what the plot is about" everytime (one chapter where the best friend dies and the main character screams "NO DON'T LET ME IN THIS HELL NOOOOOO!!!" and in the next episode in a jump cut he's okay and nothing happened), I think even the author admitted he was many times improvising.
But well, if they want to do it, it will be interesting to see if they do any changes and what current audience would think about it.

I enjoyed the Devilman anime. I watched a couple of years ago.
Admittedly, I powered through because the animation was so jarring, so don't remember much of it.
But I'm a little excited for this..
Even if it is just because I want to hear "Debiru Kiiiiiiiiku!" one more time

This is great! I watched one of the old Devilman movies (can't remember the title) years ago. I also own the complete Devil Lady series! Hopefully this will lead to more (re)releases of Devilman!

The only problem I have with this adaptation is whether the battle with Satan will actually take place because in the ova it was never shown but only implied and also if they're going to continue on after that because violence jack picks up immediately after and resolves the conflict with the three halves that Satan split devilman into come back together and save the world hopefully I'd like to see that in anime rather than manga form.

Well, the manga didn't show the battle itself either. As for Violence Jack... to be honest, the ties with Devilman are so nonsensical (having like 5 retcon chapters IN A ROW in order to explain it), that I'd be extremely happy if they never touched it again.

This is awesome, most of Go Nagias work falls under the radio, like the under appreciated Demon Prince Enma. Great to see it get a theatre treatment.

Now this is some interesting news. First we get a promo celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Grendizer, and now we're getting a new anime series for Devilman. OH MAN, now this I want to see!!! Now if Discotek can release the original films I will give them my undying loyalty. Man I cannot wait. Ushio and Tora, and now Devilman. Two classic shows green-lit. First question, will it be any good? Demon Lord Dante wasn't a hit and most people barely even talk about it. But Devilman has always had a following and despite how the old 70's series turned out, the 90's films were pretty good. Then there's apocalypse, which while well done depressed me. But hey, that's how the story goes. But hell, the franchise now has so many additions, and newer incarnations. Second question, will how dark will they go, and what incarnations will they add or omit?

Hmm now I'll have to check the manga since it's been like 4 years since I read it (devilman) and never saw that. The same goes for violence jack so it'll serve as a mental refresher on how convulted the ending for that(violence jack) is

This brings back memories when I rented videos at Video Ave. loved Devilman and Violence Jack. Since Video Ave dropped it's anime section I just wonder how I going to see this reboot.
