If people hate eating tomatoes, then the only ones to blame are those people who bred tomatoes until they turned into what they are today.
I don't like tomatoes by themselves, but I do like a lot of foods and foodstuffs made from tomatoes: Ketchup, pasta sauce, salsa roja, tomato-based soups like ratatouille, and so forth. I also like tomatoes when used well in combination with other things, like sliced in a salad or on a sandwich. |

Since when did the tomato become a hated vegetable?
I had a couple of slices of it with my chicken sandwich that I had for lunch. |

Not sure if the dislike is maybe a cultural thing? My mom says they never had Italian food growing up because my grandparents (both nisei) didn't like the red sauces. I personally am not a fan of raw tomatoes, although stuff like ketchup and pasta sauces are okay ^^;;
