And I thought that the "an important announcement" was third season getting green-lit. Given that we have My Love Story!! airing this spring, then Overlord coming next season [summer] and after that, in fall, we will have Onepunch-Man, I guess it couldn't be helped.

I wonder if they'll recruit actual karuta players or just do some creative cutting between the actors and professional players acting as stand-ins.

Indeed. I am all for anything that has to do with this phenomenal series, so I guess I've found my first LA film to see. Crazy days. It'll be interesting to see how they translate the over-the-top playing styles to actual people. And it'll keep us occupied until season 3.
