What the... WSJ only had one entry on their entire roster? While Kodansha got a lot...

But well, my bet would be Onoda's YowaPedal ftw~ Laughing

It is Kodansha's own award... It always seems a little odd to me, but they can do what they want I guess, and the nominations bring some attention to a few interesting lesser-known (outside Japan) titles. (not sure what to make of the shoujo nominations, though: the two I'm familiar with don't seem like they're particularly award-worth.)

Hmm, I've read only one of these, Onna no Ie. None of the others outside maybe Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu sounds terribly appealing to me personally (solely judging it on the amusing title). I've heard Kasane come up a couple of times but, haven't bothered to check it out for myself. Though I know there are fans of the other nominees.

Yowamushi Pedal, Nanatsu no Taizai, Sidonia no Kishi. I've read some of these (to various extents) and each manages to intrest me in each own way.

Unfortunately, it would appear that that it's not licensed by any English publisher. (if at all by anyone)
