Didn't Wonder Momo recently star in a semi-official ecchi game together with Valis?
EDIT: I must be conflating Wonder Momo's appearance in the mildly ecchi Queen's Gate game on the PSP with the unrelated and much more explicit Valis X game. Last edited by Tenchi on Tue Mar 31, 2015 1:04 am; edited 1 time in total |

I wonder how long it'll be before this goes the way of ShiftyLook.

The studio Sunrise is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings. Just sayin'.

Interesting first SquareEnix and now Bandai Namco. Could be interesting.

I wonder if this means I'll finally get the sequel to Mr. & Mrs. Pac-Man I've wanted since...last year. Or maybe I'll make one of my own.

Very unusual move for a company whose normal policy is something like "NO! MINE!" when it comes to intellectual properties and content control

Yes, when a company goes against type like this they are seeing a problem or potential problem in their business, usually the bottom line. So they shake things up. In any case hopefully some new fun things will come to the old properties. Mark Gosdin |

I would love new Wonder Momo and Dig Dug games.

If they really wanted to gain interest in their properties they should have opened up the properties globally. I can see a lot of indie developers using a license like Dig Dug to gain some notoriety.
I don't know how big the Japanese indie scene is, but I get the feeling that indie scenes outside of Japan are bigger. |

That reminds me, there was a CGI Xevious anime made in 2002. I can't find this thing anywhere; it doesn't seem to have been released on home video.

This is a very interesting coming from Namco-Bandai. I wonder if anything good will come out of this.

This could be good for game preservation if they allow their games to be uploaded to be played on a browser, everyone needs to play Pac-man, Dig Dug, Pole Position and many other Namco classics. As for an ecchi Wonder Momo x Valis crossover, never heard of it but I have seen CGs of Valis X though.

Heck, slap these franchises together into a massive crossover in the vein of Namco x Capcom or Project X Zone. That would allow for so many Namco references, none that you could possibly miss. XD
I think Wagan Land needs a lot more love, on that note. |
