Man, this is going to bring out the nostalgia for anyone who was in concert band back in school.

Oh wow, they're actually not using CG for the instruments. That's amazing. The PV for the TV size opening theme looks amazing as well. Though it does make me wonder at the absence of the french horn in the anime. Then again, I know next to nothing about concert bands, to my shame I never knew just what to call those instruments that look like smaller tubas.

Whenever the mainstream public portrays classical wind instruments like Trumpets and Trombones (and who the hell even knows what a UFO-nium is? ) they're always held upside down or incorrectly, or the kids are blowing in the wrong end....and if the instrument is drawn or animated it's like the artist just sort of doodled a short sketch and said "Yeah, I think that's close enough".
But the shot of the Trombone in the very beginning.....so true to detail on what a real Trombone looks like. Really looking forward to this.

I just love KyoAni's art style. The bright colors just pop right out of the video, giving me the feeling I'm watching something like a pop-art book in motion.

Near the end they show a French Horn next to the Bari Sax player if you look close enough. YAY I SAW A CLARINET!!! Ok got that out of my system . Did anyone notice pretty much all there instruments are "Yamaha"? I think they should totally do an OVA or something where Eric Miyashiro gives a clinic or something (Ok I'll pass on gushing about my favorite Hawaii born Japanese-American now living in Japan professional trumpeter). I am relieved to see that they got their instruments right, I hate seeing upside-down woodwind mouthpieces. Also its confirmed that this is a concert band not a brass band. Looking forward to watching this one as a total band geek.
