Wow, Naruto ending didn't crack the top 10. Just, wow. O_o

Right? That seems like it would have been a bigger deal to people. Then again, maybe it is a sign that it was time to end it due to waning interest.

Hey why wasn't Sunrise's deal with RightStuf for the Gundam franchise listed?

It's a listing based on unique pageviews. You already know the answer to your question.

Given Gudnam's struggles to gain momentum since Gundam Wing, it isn't really that surprising that Right Stuf's acquisition didn't make that huge of a splash. It is easy to lose track of the difference between a large fan base and a smaller but really dedicated one.

For some reason I am surprised that the top 10 is filled with news of big, popular franchises. I guess more casual fans than I imagined visit ANN.

I'm surprised that there isn't more Sailor Moon on the list, considering all the news about it this past year, and its enduring popularity.
Never underestimate the popularity of Fairy Tail, I guess. I'm not a huge Fairy Tail fan, but it would make a great addition to Toonami based on popularity alone. It seems to be up there with Naruto and Dragon Ball Z.

By chance, do have the means to track "most shared" articles?
I have a feeling such a list might look an awful like this one, but it might show some interesting differences.

Kind of expected the official confirmation of Attack On Titan season 2 to be on here... though, I also didn't expect the live action film to be all that big of a news story... I mean, it seems like we get dozens of live action adaptations every year. And rarely are any of them good.

Of course Shingeki gets the most articles about it, you guys report about all of the dumbest most asinine shit for that franchise. "they made Colossal Titan popsicles, better create a news or interest article. Bedsheets? Totes deserving a write-up."

From what I see, most of the Most Viewed articles were about projects ending and starting (as one would expect it to be) and less views were about the "in-between" (theme song changes, additional VA reveals, merch-related stuff)

Sword Art Online 2 was so high and it was the series most overrated anime ever in history since naruto and bleach. And why the fudge did this beat Attack on Titan 2nd season annoucement.?
