Love, Chūnibyō & Other Delusions! Complete Collection 1 BD? Don't you mean the DVD not the Blu-ray?

Short Peace was pretty lackluster for me. The first two shorts were great, but the last two were pretty subpar(great animation though).

Glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way. The animation, like you said, is stunning, and I liked the ideas of the shorts. But sadly it felt like each one fell short of being great. I liked Combustible and A Farewell to Weapons the most, but I still couldn't connect with them that well. Anthologies like Neo Tokyo and Memories seem to have more engaging shorts (though Robot Carnival is definitely worse than Short Peace). |

This release was awful and should be avoided. Recommending it is a disservice to fans. |

I picked up Sailor Moon for its historical significance; I did not watch it when I was young. However, I've been looking for the video issues and, halfway through the third disk, haven't noticed anything that really bothered me. Maybe it's my equipment, maybe it's my "old" eyes, but I've been satisfied with the release. As to the story, well, it is monster-of-the-week, but it's done well. So I've enjoyed it so far.

Have you noticed any ghosting issues while you were watching Sailor Moon? In case you don't know, ghosting is when transparent images of a character or object appear in the midst of their animation. |

No. Obviously it must be there since I've read so much about it, but, as I said, there is nothing that bothers me about the video. |

Alrighty then... Well, as long as they aren't too problematic to hamper your enjoyment of the show, I'm all satisfied. Still, I'm hoping Viz is working to address the complaints. |

Re: Cardcaptor Sakura from NISA
Good video quality (as expected from Justin who worked on both this and the first movie for Discotek), decent BD packaging (even if DVD-sized), awful DVD packaging (they used flexboxes which are basically regular-sized STACKpaks, see here), decent dub (not the best but I've heard worse) & questionable subtitles (see here). Now to hope Discotek gets that second movie soon. |

Just a side-note about Love Live!:
Technically, while the project was announced first in Dengeki G's Magazine, the target audience has always been high school students, male and female, and they have seemingly kept fanservice and such out of the show so that it may appeal equally to both. Dengeki's Girl-targeted magazine has been just as enthusiastic about the project as the male-targeted magazine. Not surprisingly, as an idol series, many high school girls love the show and carry around bags and such designed with them in mind. It's almost a high school girl's Aikatsu, just without the actual mind-blowing popularity of Aikatsu and a more acknowledged male audience. |

I'm pleasantly surprised that Love, Election and Chocolate. Have not seen many speak about this series, but it is a personal favourite. And, since it is one that will be licensed in Aus, I bought Sentai's release of it awhile back.
On Chunibyo, I loved season 1. It does feel like they told a complete story, and that there was no need for a 2nd season. We did get one, and while I believe season 2 had it's fun moments, it's forgettable. Oh, and seeing Card Captor Sakura get a mention reminds me to keep an eye out for if/when the 2nd movie gets licensed. As soon as that happens, I'll be spending some $ to get the tv series and the 2 movies. Until then, I'm keeping my money. |

No matter how much you guys shove it in my face I'm still not buying Flowers of Evil. Especially not a barebones Sentai release of the series.

NJ, I don't know if you ever got a response, but Pioneer's subtitles are accurate. Did NISA ever say anything about any criticisms on their subtitle decisions? I know they didn't on their own forums... Ugh, with how Sailor Moon and CCS (maybe I'm being too picky for the latter) turned out, I feel like the companies were concerned more about profit and getting it out to the fans than putting 1000% of their effort into making the most perfect of releases, from packaging to video to subtitles. I'm absolutely glad that these titles are now readily available, but they could have turned out better. Honestly, I'd rather watch my Pioneer CCS DVDs than NISA's release. Or maybe I'd just turn the subtitles off or watch the dub... |

Not sure if they did but thanks for letting me know about Pioneer's subs though. |
