No dub.... Crying or Very sad really was looking foward to one. I miss the funimation era of "if it gets a home release it gets a dub"...

I don't more money and more time needed. Faster release=better IMO. Especially when a lot of the dubs they'vereleased lately have had little love or care put into them. The only dubs they seem to put any effort into now are the biggest names. It's better they don't even try rather than keep releasing half-baked dubs for smaller shows.

This show was super cute. Inari is the most adorable shoujo protagonist ever. Was also pretty different from most shows of its typed so i loved that part of it, and of course the music was really beautiful. I was hoping NIS would've picked this up because it was one of those shows I felt would've been awesome with their bonus goods.

Don't mind the lack of an English dub for this one since the premise for this seemed like one that would be an acquired taste. I recall dropping it a while back, but wanting to resume it whenever it came stateside. So I guess I'll get that chance sometime next year.

Well, I was looking forward to watching Inari Kon Kon, but having learned that it'll be subtitled-only, I'll have to sit it out.

Fortunately, there's a manga of this show out, so no loss for myself. Smile

Funimation confirmed on their Facebook page that they picked up the OVA as well.

I find it weird that they are doing this though they did initially release that new Ghost in the Shell series as sub-only.

But the latter is different since that was more of an import release a la Aniplex of America. This is more "not enough fan noise or numbers" to justify a dub.

With One Piece and Fairy Tail (both of which have big casts) ongoing and the new practice of "simuldubbing" a show or two per season, they probably just don't see this show as a priority.

Maybe they're following the Sentai model and waiting to see how much interest there is for a dub before going through with it.

The lack of a dub doesn't bother me. The series is worth owning, dub or no dub.

Pity there's not going to be a dub, I was holding out on watching it.

Was hoping that this series would have seen an English dub - reminded me a lot of Kamichu and the dub for that was great!

I like that Funimation are doing sub-only releases now, but I doubt i'll buy this (despite reallyyyy liking it!) since I predict i'll be able to get better video quality by just DLing it... Neutral. Not to mention it'll probably be barebones as well, but hey, surprises do happen Smile.

Man looks like we're getting two flicks based on mystical fox deities and Shinto shrines, oh and cute little foxes. Sentai is set to release Gingitsune and now Funmation adds Inari Kon Kon. I'd say if you buy these two they definitely go together like peas in a pod on your shelves. Very Happy

I agree 100%. It seems Funi felt the same way. However, if enough people express otherwise, that may change.
