Probably one of the most unexpected simulcast FUNimation has picked up. Let's give them the high streaming numbers!

Good for them, but I'm not feeling it for that show.

I know for those outside of the North American region this may be upsetting, but as someone within it, heck and yes. What with Penguindrum not being streamed, I was worried this would be too...let's face it, bizarre for anyone to pick up.
Meanwhile, I hope Crunchyroll or some other streaming site picks it up for other regions.

Well, that seals it. I was already thinking about getting a subscription for the season so I could watch Tokyo Ghoul, but now I'll have to. If the numbers are good maybe this will mean the first decent dub for an Ikuhara show!

This means Ikuhara's series have been licensed by 3 different companies (4 if you count Sailor Moon). I find that kind of ironic in a way.
But I am happy Funi got this since I just subscribed.

Doesn't matter. There are 'other' ways, and I am going to check this one out. And I'm definitely not in your region...
But as you said, for non-US residents there is still the possibility Crunchy or Daisuki might pick it up.

Surprise, surprise!
Looks like I'm gonna have to renew my Elite membership with Funimation to see this legally. Funi is on a roll so far.

Oh good, so I can actually use that subscription I got on Black Friday for something at least.
Here's hoping they're not 3 weeks late in actually streaming the shows as per norm.

I wonder if there will be a link up on Hulu. I have a subscription and some of their stuff streams there like Rage of Bahamut or Garo. I wonder if it will be the same. I want to check out the first episode once it starts. This is gonna be kooky. I'm curious to know how the sniper rifle fits in all of this. Not to mention bears and bear paws.

Daaaarn. I'm gonna have to sign up for Funimation now because they pretty much have all the shows I want to watch this season. Does anyone know if they're like Crunchyroll where you have to wait a week or so to watch new episodes if you're not a paid subscriber?

That's very good news. I've accepted that I'm a yuri fan and it's about as odd a premise as I want Kunihiko Ikuhara to be working with. It's probably the new series that I'm most excited for this winter. I was expecting it to be licensed for streaming, although I had naturally hoped for Crunchyroll to have it as I subscribe to them, but not FUNImation.
Back when I got into this streaming razzmatazz, Crunchyroll seemed like the only provider worth paying for with FUNIMation's streaming service being a small-time, tardy appendage to their home video business. However, by now, I can see reason to subscribe FUNImation, although I probably won't. I'll hope, as others have, that they don't take too long in starting, especially since I'll have to be a week late.
I appreciate that despite making their bones on easier to sell action and boob shows, FUNImation often seems to have the little room that the more 'arty' or highbrow shows need to spare. (I.e. They've licensed things like Princess Jellyfish, Lupin III ~The Woman Called Fujiko Mine~ and Ping Pong) Perhaps if we're good little boys and girls, they'll release it on Blu-ray.

Bless all that is holy, this means Sentai is out of the running for dubbing this show!
Will definitely watch as it airs (seems like Funimation finally gets a paid subscriber out of me, between this, Tokyo Ghoul, and Hulu's week-delay when it comes to funimation properties). Really curious to see how Ikuhara does when confined to such a tight space (12 episodes versus the 24 and 39 of his other series), and whether condensing his vision strengthens or hampers it. Plus, we may finally get a decent (ie well-written) yuri show (which is fairly hard to come by).
I guess the rumors of a "Penguinbear" movie are pretty dead in the water now, right?

As a Canadian anime viewer, every season hurts so much when Funimation announces shows I actually (really really) want to watch :'(
