Well, Sega has been making games for Nintendo for years, so it could be so.

Sure, make another one. It's not like the original didn't ruin Dennis Hopper's career.

maybe the next one should be 3D animated ala Finding Nemo, Peabody and Sherman, Croods, etc etc
Mario is a simple 3D animated guy, keep him in his 3d animated worlds

A 3D animated Super Mario film? Add a hub world, a few mini games and release it on a console.
Where's the point in an animated film? To have more story than the games? Don't we remember how that went? And 3-4 films... Oh, it's Sony so that would be one sequel and two remakes just to keep the film rights.

Well I didn't hear this on any mainstream news (CNN, CBS, or NBC News), but the leaked emails from Sony Pictures is getting very serious from what I heard.

It didn't ruin anyone's career. Hell who didn't not love Dennis Hopper's scene-chewing performance as King Koppa .

It would be nice to see Nintendo expand into other media like do cartoons again. I know couple years ago Archie comics did pitch for doing Mario Brothers and Kirby comics but didn't get the license... As of yet, who knows what the future holds. Although whatever this conversation comes up people ask for a Zelda comic series more than anything else.

There were two movies constantly mentioned in Bob Hoskins' obituary last year...
Although if Super Mario Bros. ruined anyone's career, I will admit to wondering whatever happened to Rocky Morton & Annabel Jankel's free ride in the US after "Max Headroom".

Just not live-action. As simple as that.

Buzzfeed? I hesitate to take 'leaked e-mail's very seriously.

Nintendo already has plenty of manga adaptions of their works. Animal Crossing, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and countless others. Very few ever get released in America though. I'm not a fan of taking Japanese properties and making American versions of them when there's perfectly good manga they can just translate instead. Though perhaps some of them might be inappropriate for American kids so I could see why Archie would try to make their own version.

Sony is getting royally exposed on all fronts, it's quite hilarious how crappy their ideas and decision making are. I don't want to see another Mario film from Hollywood after that travesty from the 90's.

I think Sony's, quote-fingers, "hacking leak" (oh yeah, anybody remember David Manning, or those paid "viral posters" on social media?) were supposed to sound cool on the rumor sites, but between this and a leaked "animated Spiderman reboot", it's sure not turning out that way.
(No, really--WHY would hackers go after neat rumor memos, and not identity or financial info?)
