With a bit of what feels like Sergio Leone mixed in. Eh, nice attempt at a short? Oh well, still a bunch left to go, they can't and won't all be winners.

Considering one person who was only really an animation director before "directed, storyboarded, and designed the characters" (even though the story is essentially Kill Bill), this short is pretty impressive. I'd be perfectly okay with Studio Khara using this type of direction/animation/theme as a jumping off point to do an entire, hopefully less derivative version of this short.

Nah, that's not really impressive anymore after Shinkai's held like 9 senior jobs on some of his projects.

That looks very interesting based on the plot, really need to check it out.

All very spaghetti western (the woman with no name rocking an Eastwood-like hat and poncho), although the guns don't seem right for the genre.
Seems very much like a trailer for a longer work, and that's a longer work I'd watch.

The design sheet for the one-armed woman's gun at the website claims it's a 1911 Colt Government, but based on some quick research (I don't know much about guns), I think it might be a 1991 variant, which is way too late. I think the villains use an actual Colt Government in the hanging scene (drawn pretty straight from Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West), though.
~1911 is about the absolute limit for the plausibility for an "Old West" setting, which I find rather interesting. It's usually the 1870s or '80s, so setting it later is neat just for the rarity.
