I'm Canadian and it says it's not available in my region.

Yeah, I'm getting a little fed up with ANN's misinformation about this. Take it from some actual Canadians who have tried to watch these streams: Crunchyroll's "other territories" streams of Funimation shows have never been available in Canada. (Really, I don't know why anyone would even think they would be given that Funimation streams to Canada.) Look, I get that you guys are just reporting what Crunchyroll claims to be the case. But this is clearly false information and you should stop reporting it as fact.

It is streaming in Canada, but just in French. Switch your settings to French on CR and all episodes of Wixoss are there. http://www.crunchyroll.com/selector-infected-wixoss/
I'm assuming that's why they're able to stream it here, because Canada is bilingual and they have the French streaming rights. ANN probably shouldn't report on French streaming news though. |

Huh. I tried changing my default language to French and still got the same error message. But yeah, generally that certainly seems plausible. Are you located in Quebec? Maybe they're just streaming it there? Either way, I stand by my point that ANN should be more accurate about this but maybe that at least explains what's going on here. |

That is pretty weird. While I am located in Quebec, I don't see why BC shouldn't be able to get it. French communities exist throughout Canada, not just Quebec. They should make it available in that language to the whole country. You're right that ANN should try to be more accurate though. I was surprised to learn that CR had Canada-specific streams before learning that the rights were divided by language. |

Sorry guys, I put Canada up there in the title because it was North American and might be of particular interest to some. I'll leave it out to avoid confusion next time. Crunchyroll's news announcement that we pulled the information from didn't say which parts of Canada or which languages, but it was pretty clear it wouldn't be English language, so that's why we made this a brief and not a full article.

To be fair, the original article wasn't any clearer. I just find it incredibly ironic that this news article was written and published in English while CR will probably never produce a single English subtile line for this series. And as someone who lives in Quebec and has a CR membership, I can confirm was clipeuh mentioned earlier, switching to Français (France) will give me access to Wixoss (both seasons). |
