I read somewhere (Animerica, I think) that the Lupin game leaves a lot to be desired. It was something along the lines of "The only really cool part is the opening." I dunno if i'll get it yet, but it doesn't sound that good...

Well, theres the .hack series on PlayStation 2 (it was a game idea beore anime I think). Some anime based on games- Final Fantasy, and there's a lot of old classic anime games on the SNES. DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam. DBZ games are getting popular in the USA now (Budokai for PS2, Legacy of Goku I & II, a new fighter coming out for the GBA). You might not be into DBZ though, so I'll stop naming DBZ things. Other than that I really don't know. Your best anime game is probably the .hack games... MMORPG's for the PS2.

There are several games on the PS2 that are anime related several Gundam, Robotech, Zone of the Enders, Oni (several clips from an anime series, not sure of name), DBZ, .Hack, and some others I think are out there as well, just going from my personal library. Unless you are a huge fan of the series they are worth renting, and even if you are a fan rent first. As cyrax777 stated "course most anime videogames suck hard." There are also a lot more games you can import from Japan (Love Hina is the only title that comes to mind) but you need a Japanese system or an illeagal and warenty voiding MOD chip (not recommended they tend to cause your system to overheat which is a somewhat expensive proposition).

All of you, start reading a magazine called Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), it's a damn good gaming magazine, and very cheap to subscribe to. It covers games for all consels (including anime related games).
and on a completely unrelated note, has anyone heard of Desiga: Hour of Darkness (I think that's how you spell it), it has a anime art style. It's an RPG that has a battle system similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm very excited about it, it comes out in like a month.

Rather not. EGM has carried a Nintendo slant since discs were news. I've picked up Game Informer as my gaming mag.
And honestly, most anime based games haven't been too swinging at all.

Huh? What do you mean by slant?
P.S. I own a Gamecube, just so you know.

By "slant" I mean instant preference and leniency in dealing with Nintendo. Facts are facts. Nintendo is behind in sales and failing with their online component. Their innovations are moot and gimmicky, and their third-party support is non-existent.
This has been seen once before by the gaming community. Soon after, we were throwing dirt on the coffin of the Dreamcast.
But, through it all, EGM is more than willing to turn a blind eye to the serious issues that Nintendo executives themselves will admit to having. It's annoying and poor journalism that is costing them a lot of presence in the industry and has meant that Playstation and Xbox loyal companies (Like Naughty Dog, Ubi Soft, and Rockstar) have gone elsewhere to tote their wares.

Heck, I don't even read the magazines. I get a lot of information from the video game system representatives who come to my store (granted they push the titles produced by their respective companies), but they also will let us know about 3rd Party titles as well since they carry the market. Otherwise I just look at what games that we are going to be carrying and watch for their price to drop with a few exceptions (Final Fantasy, Madden, and EA's NHL game).
As for the magazines having a slant, I don't know except for what I see on the covers. Most of the time there is a good mix on the cover of EGM of the consoles and Gameboy Games. The only exception is when there is a huge title being released for one console (and possibly as well on as computer software at the same time) such as Zelda, Halo 2, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, etc...

There's no denying that Nintendos got problems, everyone knows that much, but I still don't get what your saying, could you give me an example of how EGM is somehow (I guess) tolerant of Nintendos issuses. I guess I'm just naive/ignorant.
