I believe the official title should be "Shakugan no Shana" (Japanese: 灼眼のシャナ), not just "Shana".

The official North American title is simply Shana. The main title that ANN uses is always the official North American title when available.

Mmm, I double checked the title. "Shakugan no" is still there, although with a much smaller, almost invisible font.

Geneon's website lists it simply as "Shana." I assume that Geneon prefers to market it as Shana to make it seem a little less foreign and just for simplicity. I don't really care either way, though.

Same for "Sugar" and "Lain". They did keep some subtitles like "Tsukihime, Lunar Legend", however, probably to keep the title less foreign (and to set it apart from the game version).
