It also needs Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, and Hariyama.

This looks pretty neat and reminds me of the GameCube Pokemon games. Looking forward to this and I hope it'll eventually be brought to the States.

I'd love to kick some tail with Sceptile. I hope Meloetta in Pirouette form is there too.

Yet another game that won't see the light of day outside of Japan.

Unless they eventually release this for the Wii U...

Adachi Rika? I'm a fan of her gravure work. Good job getting her, Nintendo. Looks like a fun game as well.

I'm assuming that the playable Pokemon will all be at least vaugely humanoid in shape, since I imagine that's easier to program. Though I would love to be able to fight as an Aegislash, or a Dragonair, or any Eeveelution...
I'm sure that this will eventually make its way out of the arcades, I just hope that when it does, it's not only for the Wii U, since I don't really see myself getting one, and I really want to play this...

If that's the case, I think you're out of luck, since Pokemon is a Nintendo-exclusive franchise, if I correctly recall.

Are there even any Pokemon games that weren't released in the west? All spin offs were released, so this one will too.
Now the question is, will it be Wii U only, or Wii U and 3DS like Smash Bros. I just hope that the character selection isn't too limited. Most new fighting games start out with a rather small roster, so having just 10 playable characters would harm this game.

Um, did you even read the other article in which it points out that several related trademarks have already been established in America and Europe?

If i can play mega scizor vs bisharp im all good. If this is a real time game it could be hard to incorporate larger pokemon.

Bandai Namco has released the Mario Kart arcade game in North America. You'll usually find them at a Dave & Buster's or something. I can see that happening with Pokken.

The second Pokemon TCG game wasn't localized. There was also a Wiiware game or two that stayed only in Japan.
