If you haven't seen Harmageddon, please go ahead and do that. It's so atrociously bad that it's a work of art, on the level of "The Humanoid" and "Super Sonico The Animation," in the sense that it's such a painfully bad piece of anime that it becomes quite humorous with some good friends. You won't regret it.

It's definitely a weird and flawed movie that's hard to wrap your head around thanks to Rintaro, but it's actually pretty damn beautiful at times as well also thanks to Rintaro. It's nowhere near as bad as you make it out to be and almost nothing is after having seen Robotech Shadow Chronicles. Now even Odin is a breeze. Also trying to score some anti-moe cred with dragging Sonico into the post?

But I also see you've made this post before, but with some other anime referenced. Here, so everyone else can enjoy it:

Harmagedon is a classic of bad anime. In fact, I'd hazard to say it's the worst anime I've ever seen, even over "The Humanoid" and "Dog Soldier." Everything about it, from the awful animation to the terrible plot to the abhorrent music is bad enough, but then the filmmakers threw in a running time that clocked in well over two hours. That directorial choice made it the worst anime I've ever seen, period, because not only is it awful, it's over two consecutive hours of awful. It's so rare to see an anime so devoid of redeeming value, so devoid of logic, and so devoid of anything good. The fact that this was put into theaters in Japan and that people were expected to pay money for it makes it even worse, thinking of the poor suckers who shelled out cash to go see it. Ironically, people tend to look back on it with nostalgia in Japan, but when they watch it again today, they (according to the excellent "Buried Garbage" column on ANN) say their childhood is ruined.

If you want a good film, please go elsewhere. If you want to see the worst anime ever, well, you've found it.

I'd say do give Genma Taisen a chance if you're into older anime, just check out the nice clean (yet sadly cropped) BluRay and watch it in Japanese.

Oh man, I remember the movie Harmagedon or Genma Taisen which is what I heard other's say. It literally confused me. I own the film but I have yet to sit down and see why the guys during my HS days talked about it so much during tape trades. Then there's the Genma Wars, which was animated by Koreans (correct me if I'm wrong). I say we need a new animated film reboot done with classic animation the likes of 'Giant Robo'.
