It sounds so good. I'm so hyped for this re-dub. I'm loving Usagi's new voice and I can't wait to hear Sailor Venus.

This is really shaping up to be a great dub. The DVDs/BR of this will be a must get for me. Outstanding work by Viz on this release.

id say a pretty stellar dub so far,up until the end, which is the only bit i didn't like.
the delivery of the "i'll punish you" line, was a bit weak. other than that,i look forward to this. |

The dub is sounding pretty good so far, definitely better than Cloverway. Not sure if its me but when Mercury said Bubble Spray it sounded like Bubble Pray.

Funny, I thought it sounded like Bubble Ray. I'm not liking the dub clips much so far. |

Oh, the cheese, it hurts!
But the voices are fantastic. They seem to match up with the original English dub pretty well, which is kind of shocking, but in a good way. |

I didn't like Mercury's voice, especially when she attacked. I thought Mars' voice was pretty good.

I don't like it, but then again, I don't like dubs anyway. I wanted to give this a chance though. But I still can't stand it.
I'll still buy it when it comes out, I'll just stick with the subs. |

I am still liking the voices of the Scouts. But boy, this anime looks so dated, especially with the occasional shaky character models. I think the DVD's should be good enough for video of this quality; I doubt BD will make much of a difference.

About halfway through R, there's a significant uptick in quality. |

Any complaints that are already about Crystal surprise me. There's been only 2 episodes and any animation issues will probably be fixed up for the BD/DVD release. (Remember, during Act 2's premiere they were working on the Moon Pride music video--spoilers if you're unfamiliar with the first season/manga arc.)
About this dub clip: Pretty surreal seeing a proper uncut and dubbed Sailor Moon! Never thought I'd see the day. Though I'm not sure if it's the dub script or the line delivery, but something about the new dub does seem...off...to me. Still, I'm staying optimistic! |

I ain't gonna lie, I wasn't worried about Cristina Vee, actually...I do like hearing her voice on a lower octave than her other roles.
As far as Mercury is concerned, though...I really, really need to get used to her voice. |

(Complaint wasn't about Crystal's animation: In the original series--haven't seen the manga--Ami was immune to the mind-control of the computer-study disk because she preferred the discipline of studying the old-fashioned way...In Crystal, she falls victim too, and has to be "saved" by remembering her friendship with Usagi. Maybe I'm a little paranoid that the new '14 series is going to be catering more to stereotypic pandering toward otaku moe-heads, but Ami's shy spunk in the old series was what got most of us old-school fans hooked.) |

You're being a bit paranoid if you're accusing a franchise for little girls of that. I just hope more people don't end up blaming Crystal's failure on some otaku strawman boogieman rather than a more sensible explanation like a shift in marketing powers. -Stuart Smith |
