i was under the assumption that she was a half breed (half human half tengu) but a female tengu is a new concept and an interesting one.
unfortunately more people especially those pandering otaku types are more interesting into marie rose who is literately screaming lolicon central though i have serious doubts she is even in the lolicon age (12-15). though what would really be a shocker is that they pull a bridget with marie rose. that would seriously dash the dreams & in the process, piss off those otaku pervs. especially for those that want the new characters for the next extreme beach volleyball and believe me their is gonna be another one. its only a matter of time. |

She uses Tengu-do, so all of Tengu's original moves are probably making a comeback. Judging from the trailer, she uses those moves with a little more style than the original Tengu. I just hope she gets on consoles faster than Marie Rose did.
Also can not help but LOL at people comparing her to Devil Jin. Tengu was the final boss in DOA 2 for hell's sake. Also, the original Tengu had white wings. I guess Nyo Tengu implies the females have black wings. |

I was a bit surprised at the lack of a long nose, but I suppose she wouldn't really fit in with the rest of the female cast like that. Then again, I don't think I've ever seen a female tengu, so maybe they don't have the same face types as male tengu.

Every fighting game has a loli. DoA is just checking off a checklist.
She's also kind of a good character to play as and quite honestly is'nt that popular. All the other females are probably far more popular then her. |

wrong. i am an uber fighting game junkie and none of them have any playable loli characters (and pan from all of the DBZ fighting games dont count. i'm talking about characters that are from originally from VG) untl DOA brought out marie. the closest was bridget who we all know as a boy and the most infamous traps in otaku history right next to the characters from the boku no pico OVAs. also there is no question that in popularity she will be inferior compared to kasumi,her sister,hitomi and tina. she unfortunately will have popularity with those uber pandering loli pervs.
I'm afraid not. traps haven't been mainstream ever since guilty gear's popularity have wained somewhat. not to mentioned that there haven't been any trap OVAs like boku no pico in years. so its as i said. traps haven't been in since GGX was popular and i highly doubt it would again if tecmo pulls a bridget with marie rose. sure there will be occasion doujins but it will be nothing compared to what bridget did. which is why i think the die hard otakus would be poed if they did do that top marie. luckily marie is a she unless stated by tecmo and team ninja. unfortunately it will mean the loli pervs will be all over this like a not knife through butter. |

Lets see: Blaz Blue-Platinum The Trinity, Rachel. King of Fighters XII/XIII-Athena get a real loli makeover. King of Fighters XI-Mamoko Aquapassa-Well I mean they are all kind of lolis. Soul Calibur 4-Amy basically fills that slot. Soul Calibur 5-Leixia Guild Gear Xrd-May Battle Fantasia-Olvia Tekken-Alisa(I mean she's even a cute robot), xiaoyu Mark of the Wolves-Hotaru Samurai Shodown-Nakoruru, Rimururu, Mina, and many more The Last Blade-Hibiki, Akari and really so on. Basically, every Japanese fighting game has at least one cute young girl. Which is all Marie Rose is, the cute young girl character. You're the one projecting anything else on to her.

one problem with that sentence. most of the girls you mention are in the 15 to 18 age group which classifies them as teenagers.not loli. they are in the (11-14 age group) where marie is. believe me. i am an uber fighting game junkie and i mainly use female characters in all of them. especially when it comes to the Neo Geo games like KOF,Samurai Showdown,The Last Blade and Mark of the wolves. none of those characters especially athena and hotaru arent even near the loli level. their clearly in the teenage level (15-18 group) like SF's sakura and karin & Rival Schools Hinata and Akira. as for soul calibur, i have never played it before. hell i haven't played any of its games after soul edge when the arcades was still on the map. however i do play tekken and comparing tekken's xiayou and the cyborg alisa as loli is beyond nuts cause their clearly in the teenage level. the same with blazeblue's rachel. also what in the holy high hell is aquapassa? i have never even heard of aquapassa at all. Hell i am sure nobody have. |

Athena and Hotaru for sure aren't hitting at all the same buttons as Marie Rose.

These characters are so obviously designed in the same way. To look like cute teen girls and check off that character type. You are getting twisted about lolicons and whatnot. Even when basically all these characters are the same type.
Alisa is not a loli, but she is designed look like a cute young girl. Her mannerisms are completely designed to be extremely cute and innocent. Same thing with Xioyu before her. The cute young girl character has been around forever. Some things just take it further then other things.
In the end whats funny is that you are complaing about Dead or Alive having a pandery character. DEAD OR ALIVE |
