RE4 really is one of the best games ever made. I'm pretty sure I have the old crappy PC version laying around here, but whatever! I'll totally buy another copy of this game. Hell, when they port it again I'll be there. It's just one of the best damn games.

RE4 could be consider the last great RE game in the main series. I definitely enjoy it more than RE5

If it is anything like the Resident Evil 6 and RE5 ports to PC then this will be pure crap and skippable. The footage in the YouTube video looks terrible.
These guys can't even do a proper "HD" remake on the consoles, there's no way that they can do it justice on the PC. PC gamers won't accept low res models and textures designed to fit in tiny amounts of video RAM and be loaded from a dog-slow optical drive.
Capcom doesn't understand the PC.

The RE5 and RE6 ports are great. What the heck is wrong with them?
And it will be like those, because it's done by the people who did 5's.

RE6's port is far from great. It takes little advantage of the advancements made in both hardware and software in the PC realm in the 8+ years since the creation of the Xbox 360. "HD" implies "1280*720", a resolution that the Xbox 360 and PS3 struggled with but that the PC left long ago.
It was a stale Xbox 360 game warmed over and put on the PC with 0 effort involved. The only thing really separating the PC version of RE6 from the console version was the ability to set the resolution to modern (ie:1920*1080 or higher) standards. This game is liable to come with textures little enhanced from the GameCube version. My PC-any PC-would scoff at being so maliciously underused.
RE6 on the PC was akin to having Rembrandt color in a coloring book with a 12 pack of Crayola.

O-o-okay. I hope Capcom realizes that modding community already tampered with previous port of RE4, made HD-interface, returned effects from GC version and stuff. But oh well, it's better release an good old game like this again than spawning abominations like Resident Evil 6.

What are you talking about? Both RE5 and RE6 pots run great on almost any PC configuration, just like a DMC4 one. They have a lot to choose in graphical options and let customize it for better performance. The controls are adapted for mouse and keyboard and the games are actually playable even without a gamepad. So nope, these ports are great. Sometimes new textures and effects can make the game look ridiculous. Go look for RE4 mods with high-res textures.
