Some of plates were funny some not so. Some I simply do not understand why people would pay money for them. Mind you I guess people will spend money on anything.

It's for a good cause. So, I guess I shouldn't be a greedy person and say it'd be nice to have $14,000 bucks....
But, it would be nice.

Exactly at least Hong Kong is going to use all the money raise for Charity.....at least some good will come out of rich people spending too much for novelty items..... |

If someone has achieved wealth and can spend $14,000 (or 180,000) as part of a charity fund raiser, more power to them. Looking at "hey they spent $14K for a Gundam license plate" is missing the whole picture. But maybe that's why they're rich and you're not (yet).

I have to say, as an animu consumer, I wish I had 14k to blow on a license plate AFTER I've bought all of the series I wanted.
