A remake but not a "recreation", wonder what that is going to mean.

"Gekijouban" stands for "the movie," so the title can be translated as "Evangelion: the new movie."
Maybe comparing itself with Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation. |

It says unconfirmed though...wondering where they got the information...
Hopefully it's not just from the cover which reads "Rebuild of Evangelion". Newtype seems to love tricking people by including misleading information on their covers. Remember "Haurhi RETURNS!"? Edit: Confirmed now I guess. Just being safe though. Last edited by PantsGoblin on Wed Sep 06, 2006 6:19 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I hope they change the ending into something a little bit less ridiculously absurd. Otherwise, I don't think this anime needs a remake.
One anime that would be awesome with a remake is Nausicaa of The Valley of the Wind. The story was so awesome, but the graphics are lame... totally lame. It looks like if it had been drawn by grade school kids. Oh well, that's my 2 cents. Luminal |

I'm not really sure how to take this. It sounds like they could either be full-on dumbing-down the content of Evangelion, or making the story a bit more coherent while retaining the feel of the original series. Either way, on the surface it looks like another way to make even more money off the Eva franchise. But, who knows, I'll reserve my judgments for when I get to see this. So it's Death and Rebirth/End of Evangellion 2.0 eh?
Well I'll probabally see it anyay for the new footage. I just hope what they replace will make it more cohereant and understandable. |

The description did not make this sound appealing, but honesty makes me admit I'll probably watch it. I just hope it's not another ending. Two endings are enough.

It has been a long time comming, just think of it as an update of the origional. This is what it should have been had they had the money they have now back then.( )
I for one am really excited about this and I hope it is every bit as good if not better than the first.
Ya, I will belive that when I see it. |
