To anyone who has both versions or seen both versions, what is the real difference between the uncut and the TV version? Is it the language, content, violence, all three? I have the first 3 TV version DVD's and was wondering if I'm really missing anything by not having the Uncut versions. I know I usually prefer uncut versions, but I had already bought the first TV version DVD before the uncut boxset came out so I bought the others the same. (This may have already been discussed elsewhere in the forum and if so, please just direct me there-thanks.)

Well, if you were to ask most obsessive Naruto fans (Narutards), they'd most likely tell you that the cut version is horribly edited and is crap and to get the uncut version...

I'm not really a Naruto fan but I have seen both versions (not all, but like about 26 episodes of each). I can tell you that it honestly doesn't make that huge of a difference. They don't horribly edit everything out. Sure, people flying into the air for no apparent reason when they were originally supposed to get nose bleeds makes no sense. Pretty much just a few scenes of violence or excessive blood are taken out every now and then, but it's nothing that's going to ruin the show for you. I enjoyed both versions the same and would say, whatever one you want to get is fine, both of them are good.

If you want the one that costs less though, I think the Uncut boxset comes out to less. But you already have the first three DVDs so it may be better to just wait until the next box set comes out and not get the first one.

Naruto Place has a pretty good listing of what has been censored in the CN version but looks like they've been falling behind recently. It should give you a good idea of the types of things they have been changing though.

Thanks. I just checked it out and there really isn't that big of a difference. Just some blood removed here and there.

You could sell your cut DVDs and get the uncut box set. I automatically hate all editing, but if you don't care that's fine.
