If I remember correctly, didn't MTV2 air anime at one time? Do they still air anime? Which titles?
I'm asking because I just discovered that I got MTV2 on one of my digital cable channels, so I would like to know if there is any anime on. Thanks! |

I dont think MTV is really suited towards anime. However, MTV (one) once aired Princess Monoke. That's all I know

The original Aeon Flux anime could only be found on MTV. The movie was horrible, though.

Actually, I thought the Aeon Flux movie was pretty good. I liked it. It was cool. |

I thought Aeon Flux was completely terrible, because it felt a little bland. I thought it was substandard action that grabbed people with Special Effects and the thought. The plot wasn't too bad, just how it was carried out. |

Is AEon Flux the most popular manwha to come to the USA?

Aeon Flux, for the 2 or 3 previous posts wI think were talking about the american release of it. There are other manhwa in the USA, and the popularity of these in general are not too great. I never even knew Aeon Flux was a manhwa however, there are others.

Heat Guy J was the only anime series that I can recall that MTV2 aired. I saw the first two episodes, but after that I kept forgetting to watch it. I don't know if it's still on since I don't watch MTV2 anymore.
BTW Aeon Flux is not an anime. It was produced in North America and never aired in Japan. |

It's just you. Cartoon Network, 4Kids, Hayao Miyazaki movies, and Blockbuster have made anime mainstream. To the average teen/pre-teen, anime is the new hip, happenin’ thing. Only old people still think of anime as "pornographic Chinese cartoons". |

Do anything to an extreme, and you'll get looked down upon by someone. Even sports fantatics (a group seemingly wholly accepted by mainstream America) have to deal with people assuming they're ingorant meatheads with brains only good for storing player stats. It's more that it's OK to intermix anime into all the other fads kids are supposed to follow now. So, show up at school in a Naruto T-shirt and whine about the lack of good music at the school dance? Good. Show up at school in Naruto cosplay and whine about the lack of J-pop at the school dance using randomly interjected Japanese words? All previous Otaku stereotypes apply. |

Hey! Take it easy on us old folks. I'm old and I don't think that at all. |
