Inspired by the show us your DVD shelves-thread in the anime forum, I though I'd be fun to show off ones original anime soundtrack or single collection.
As for basic rules: 1.) No bootlegs 2.) No lists, please provide links to images or use the [img][/img] tags to make them viewable. Here's my collection: Overview Details 1 Details 2 Details 3 Details 4 Details 5 Details 6 Details 7 (without case) Singles Collection I've been collecting OSTs and Singles since the early nineties and most are from anime between 1980 to 2000, just a few are from newer shows. Some soundtracks are very rare like the one from Otaku no Video or Master of Mosquiton, others are more commom. Very few are bootlegs and I completely forgot to remove them before taking the pictures, so shame on me |

You may not have a big collection but yours is definitely a "high quality music" assemblement; music which stands on its own. I'd love to have those RahXephon OSTs in my collection as well as I really like the Op/Ed and some of the slow bgm pieces in it. Akira and R.O.D. (OAV) should also be part in my collection as well. Both definitely have awesome scores (the opening of Akira with the biker gang chase scenes is really exciting).
My first soundtrack was Kimagure Orange Road - Singing Heart. I bought it the year I discovered the show on french tv. There was a nice little review of the soundtrack in one of the first Protoculture Addicts issues and I really wanted everything about the show. My last acquired soundtrack is the one to Robot Carnival. I've been pretty lucky about that one because I found it used in a swiss store for less than ten bucks, whereas the last time I saw one copy in Mandarake Nagoya it had a 6000 yen price tag on it. Speaking of envy: Yesterday I was visiting a friend of mine who has about the double amount of anime soundtracks I use to have. He even found ultra rare OSTs like those of the second and third Project A-Ko movies |

They're all mixed in with my other CDs and I've got over 150 of those, but here's the whole thing...
...48 of which are anime or Japanese in origin. |

Hmm, I thought I had a lot... looks like I have quite a ways to go to catch up to swissman. Although, I've only been collecting anime CDs within the last 3-4 years. I think 99% of my CDs are newer than his too...
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c233/PantsgoblinX/cds.jpg And some newer ones that aren't in the first picture. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c233/PantsgoblinX/Picture082.jpg All of them add up to a total of 89 CDs. I actually have more, but they were included as inserts into DVDs/video games/magazines so I couldn't lay down CD cases for those. I also have 4 more CDs in the mail at the moment. If you add those to my CD collection, my total goes up to 102 CDs. |

Wow Swissman, I did a quick sweep over your collection and saw 16 CD of yours that I also have the exact same album. Although I'm envious, I spotted a Mermaid Scar/Forest CD in there and I am currently on a desperate seach for one.
Okay here they are: Image 1: The mini-CD that you can't see is a Gunsmith Cats single Image 2: Both anime & game soundtracks including my pride-&-joy; the Urusei Yatsura Remix CD Image 3: Jpop and Seiyuu Compilations |

@PantsGoblin
Nice collection of cds from newer cute shows. I spot a lot of Komugi and Galaxy Angels. But what is the CD on the right of FMA in the first picture? @Past Your collection has some gems too. I mean, you have the Dominion Tank Police OST! I know somebody who got it but personally, I've never seen it in Japan. My copy of Mermaid Scar OST was one of the first OSTs in my collection, bought when the OAV was coming out in Japan. Mermaid Forrest on the other hand was a lucky buy in Switzerland last year, together with Robot Carnival. |

Kage Kara Mamoru Op/Ed Single. The show was just "meh", but I really liked the opening theme. |

That Dominion soundtrack was given to me by a friend of mine. It has some pretty good songs on it and BGMs but it's not the soundtrack for the Tank Police OAV series which has the unforgettable ending song I Adore You.

Oh man...all i have are the 2 GITS SAC soundtracks that i got free from the Limited Edtiton DVDs! Not much to show here. But i would love to get the soundtracks to NGE, FLCL, Samurai Champloo, and Bebop. Unfortunately, im saving up for a convention and i have to buy at least a few volumes of manga, so i cant right now buy em right now. Also excellent collections, Past, Swissman, and PantsGoblin!
