If you read the original letters, the stalker (presumably still the same guy) who started this had a homoerotic obsession with the mangaka and basketball players and a fetish for basketball uniforms. He ended up hating the author for ignoring him after some unspecified incident and wanted an apology from the mangaka, and hated all the fujoshi who latched onto Kuroko and made doujinshi of it.

already a whole year and still the psycho hasn't been caught? man this nut bar is just laying out the ground work example for any psycho to use to violently voice their dislike of any media works

Anyway, by the looks of it, this will go for a while longer, possibly until shueisha orders the author of Kuroko to end it and then put the mangaka in the freezer for a while, this is most likely the only solution to end this for good.

Pressure will keep building up until retailers don't want to deal with Kuorko at all (i.e, is already happening) thus if not voluntarily forcing Kuroko´s termination in worst case scenario.

I would not be surprised f Shueisha is already pressuring the mangaka with "is kuroko ending anytime soon" "is the story near completion" "you should wrap the story soon"....

Police is busy monitoring share instead and catching "real big criminals" that dare share some anime episodes or manga, NOW THIS is a serious threat to society.

Kurobasu is selling very well and it is rated high. I think Shueisha will use this threat to sell the manga more. After all, people have been curious with Kurobasu and all this attention it is getting. So I doubt they would want to end it soon.

I have a feeling these threats tie up with the anime. Because these threats have been quiet after the anime has ended. It suddenly came back when season 2 started. Having an anime makes a manga more popular anyway.

Nonsense. Kuroko no Basuket is currently one of the best selling manga in Japan. There's way too much money involved in this for Shueisha to do such a thing.
And discontinuing the manga wouldn't do a damn thing.
Firstly, this guy is clearly crazy and will just continue once the manga continues.
Secondly, such concessions would simply encourage this kind of activity in the future.

Its selling well, but not quite one of the best selling manga in Japan.

There is so much money involved that a giant like Tsutaya has stopped all kuroko dvd/manga...again, not indispensable. Understandable thou, no worth risking it for one series.

((((The only active manga currently which would be worth risking it for all others for its insane sales is One Piece, the second place don't even come close to it. This is the only active series that could be indispensable right now))))

And don't tell me you believe all the cancellations and the above are no indication of encouraging this kind of "activity" NOW, let alone the future, the threats are being quite effective in the case of Kuroko.

If big chains like Tsutaya are willing to pull the plug on Kuroko, as sad as it is, I can see it ending in the near future if things go one like this and more retailers pull the plug as well.

I guess the negotiations were related to Kurokos termination in the near future and Shueisha did not want to do it so soon, at least at this point. OR it was to not allow anymore Kuroko anime, this indeed started with it .
