Too bad I only know the Sony Music stuff that has been released over here and what was shown from Sony Music on PopJapan.tv back when I still had AZN TV.

WHAT THE SH*T???
It's like...theyr'e combining forces to become some kind of super band!! XD lmao.
They'll never be as good as X, but I'm excited to see what will happen. Between Gackt and Yoshiki's insane popularity ratings, I think they have it in them to put every indie band on the list out of business.
But then again, Yoshiki never sticks with one project. Ten bucks says they'll break up within 2 years.

I guess I'm the only one not excited about this since I don't like Gackt.

Nope I'm right there with you. I've never been a fan of Gackt, but I do like Yoshiki, so I'll give the band a shot, though I am not expecting this band to come near my all time favorites.

How can you not like Gackt? He claims to be a 500 year old vampire for Christ's sake!
Anyway, is there any confirmation for Gackt on this? Either way, I hope this is a definite and they get to work on an album a.s.a.p.

I don't know, why would Gackt WANT to start a band with anyone else? He's doing amazing on his own, and then he'd have to get rid of GacktJob.... not very likely
Is there any conformation of this on Gackt's side?

Come on, you don't think one of the most successful artists in Japan's history is making this up, do you?

Wow, ok... Now that I've had a few hours to regain my powers of speech instead of just flailing incoherently... I sincerely hope that by "band" they mean there's going to be other people involved who can make them sleep and eat occasionally... Cause, seriously? Gackt and Yoshiki? If left to their own devices they'd probably just work until they both collapsed. Or they strangled each other. I mean, Gackt's not exactly known for playing nicely with other people in terms of his creative vision. Although I guess if this is a side project for him (and I can't see it being anything else) it wouldn't be so bad. If they both survive it it's going to sound incredible though *_*
I guess this is what Gackt was referring to when he was talking about starting activity in the USA and Europe... I just hope they don't forget here if they decide to take over the world!
I'd love to see a report of what else happened at the panel (and what exactly happened with this announcement) but I guess that's not exactly ANN's area.

I wouldn't doubt it, lots of great artists have a history of messing with their fans. Ever hear of Public Image Limited?
