Hmm, I'm excited for this although I'm curious how this will be adapted given that only around 21 chapters are translated. (not sure on RAWs though)

the manga itself has 19 volumes out right now so there is more than enough for an anime

Animax' English-narrated trailers always sound so forced.
Why are they advertising Hyouka as some kind of comedy gameshow?
And why is he mispronouncing the title of the show?

The Coppelion narration was kinda fitting, I guess.

..anime studios are adapting the volumes that are released in Japan, not the chapters that are fan translated on the internet.
19 volumes are released in Japan, and the manga is ongoing.

I had similar thoughts, but I guess they don't really want to spend too much money on an announcer that "sounds perfect".

It just makes me feel that things like that are the reason people find anime in general to be childish stuff.

Err, why is this thread in the UK section?

Anywho, I'm getting this strange feeling Coppelion might get picked up Viz considering how similar K is. And is this the first time Hyouka finally gets a broadcast outside of Japan? Why has no one else picked it up yet here in the States?

Coppelion looks really cool.

Heh. The guy in the trailer does sound kind of like one of those guys (I remember Jetix at one point also had the guy who voices Rock Lee too).

Edit: I guess you meant the picture, nevermind.

It was posted in an alternate universe where Hong Kong is still a British colony?

That's not some guy. That's great Don LaFontaine, the man who narrated all the movie trailers you ever seen since you were kid.

Sadly, Don passed away in 2008.

Anyway, it took long for ANN to post this news since Animax Asia hinted that they would simulcast aired it on 14th September and officially revealed it on 18th September.

Meanwhile, ANN forgets that Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is also set to premiere on Animax Asia next month.
