Flashes of Cartoon Network's middle-of-the-weekday-nights comes to mind. You know, the shows that were taken off due to low viewership...

As long as they don't drop their anime block, I won't complain

I'm glad they're still airing some decent anime and haven't completely removed it from their schedule. But how about some fresh titles?
I don't remember if they've shown Chrono before, but it's been out for quite a while now. And almost everything else they air is in at least it's second or third re-run on SyFy now (unless you don't count when it was SciFi, lol).

Aren't people more likely to stay up late on Thursdays rather than Tuesdays anyway?

I'd like to note that the article is very misleading. Yes, the block started as Ani-Monday, and was at one point moved to Tuesdays, but even as late as 2009-2010 it was back on Mondays. To my knowledge, the current Tuesday schedule didn't start until the end of 2010/beginning of 2011.

It wasn't moved to Tuesdays back then. They just added an extra day.

It's not a big deal, the Tuesday and Thursday schedules are pretty much the same set up anyway: A bunch of random show repeats, a few random movies, and then anime. Only thing changing is the day the anime is on.

I thought thursday evenings were good times for shows in the US. It's friday evenings that are the death sentence.

Thursday is the most watched night of television of the week, so this could arguably be seen as good news.

Or not considering you're putting anime against stuff that is hellla more popular on TV than it could ever hope to be.

I didn't know they were showing Chrono Crusade. Admittedly, it's hard for me to be too excited about that since I have the DVDs but at least it's not one of the Street Fighter movies for the 500th time. The limited amount of anime and reliance on reruns is probably why I consistently forget to even watch the block.

Chrono Crusade never ran on Syfy, though it did run on Showtime Beyond a few years back (along with several other ADV shows at the time.)
The problem with fresh titles is that Starz Media runs the block. So far, every show that has been on it has either been owned by Starz/Manga, or they acquired the TV and digital rights to. Funimation, Sentai and others generally prefer to maintain those rights. We don't know what the case is with Chrono Crusade, however since it's an older show Funi may have decided it may be more profitable to sell those rights off and get a TV run to support the DVD sales. We probably won't know until the show finally pops up on iTunes or PSN.
