Everywhere I've looked, I can only find tomorrow's last release of the Cowboy Bebop REMIX disks with just the DVD. I didn't see the first volume with a box either. Does anybody know if there is a box available for this series with either the first or last volume?

Maybe there will be a re-release of the movie with a box?

Given the popularity of Bebop, I'm sure Bandai will pull an ADV and release some ultimate box set eventually. All the remix volumes in the U.S., as far as I can tell, are clear cut DVD and case only releases.

At this point, Bandai can do a lot of things ranging from an Anime Legends release or planning a 10th anniversary thing like what's happening with Eva. I've actually yet to buy any of the DVDs because of this possiblity, so I think I'll wait a couple more years and see if anything develops (it'd be awesome if they made a $200 box set that came soundtracks and stuff Anime hyper).

The chances of a box with a movie rerelease are slim to none because the movie license is owned by a different company than the tv series. So unless they collaborate (which i doubt they would) it wont happen.

Don't worry at some point there will be a boxset release with all the DVDs in one big box. Maybe Christmas time so that all the kiddy can ask mommy and daddy for the Bebop dvds.

In other news I have up to Vol 4 of the remix (I had previously see the show on fansub, and felt I owe Bandai) dvds and I am very happy with the result. Some of you know with the best session, but there are so many episode where that 5.1 sounds make such a HUGE difference; I mean it should considering this Anime has argueably the best Soundtrack of all time.

Personally there is Ballad of the fallen angel (Cliche I know), but I also sympathy for the devil (the harmonic is so amazing) is another episode that really gives you such an appreciation for music.

I'm actually very disapointed with REMIX DVDs packaging, very bare bones, and since there are no inserts, I don't know why they didn't just release a thinpack collection?

Sucks to hear now that will be no art box for the REMIX collection. Are there any 3rd parties that make these art boxes?

Try here. They're a bit expensive though.

Insert singing voice ---> Money Money Money.....MOONEY! That why there wasn't a thin pack yet. First they do this initial release then a complete collection for the ten years, followed by which we have the anime legends edition........well at least I think it will happen in due time.

Anyways back to the DVD the packaging is a little weak as mention above, but at least the slipcase are very nice quality.

I suspected they would pull this s*** again with CB so I didn't get any of them. I'm waiting for an inevitable collection, which will replace my crumby ebay bootleg which I bought by mistake looking for the Limited edition boxset that came out ages ago. Plus they already burned me with no artboxes for Scrapped Princess and Planetes too so I was doubly wary about this release. Mad

This is a serious bummer. I actually unloaded my original loose DVDs and a bootleg of the movie I got as a gift to a friend of mine, anticipating a REMIX box...

I thought they'd at least pull it out with the last volume, ala GitS:SAC. I'm disapointed.

I wish they had a box, but only if they added some cool extras. Personally, I don't care for a box since I end up taking them out of the box when they get towards the corner of my shelf and have to go one shelf lower... make sense?

I am diassappointed that there are no inserts, and that only volume 1 had a shiny inside cover. But I didn't own the release so these are really nice. Finally good to see the complete series without the [adult swim] editing.

I've been buying the ReMix DVDs (mainly because my original ones got stolen Twisted Evil ), and I never really expected a box, honestly. Bandai has been failing it in the box department lately, even though they've released some "special edition" stuff. Fantastic Children: Vol. 1 + CD, no box and no box likely.
Scrapped Princess: figurines with every LE set, but no box, not counting the LE box with Vol. 3 that's conveniently close in size to a 6-DVD box.
Planetes: LE's with several volumes, but no box.
My-Hime: they would have been better off shrink-wrapping the t-shirt with Vol. 1 as a "special edition" instead of making boxes of this level of crappiness.

Oh, well, it's nice to have a few loose-DVD series to allow for more flexibility in the shelving department... Rolling Eyes

You could buy the Cowboy Bebop Remix Box from Australia

Is it the same dub as Bandai has released here, or do they have Australian accents?

Does Spike say "G'day, Mate"?

At any rate they're region 4 and wouldn't play on a regular region 1 player without complicated and illegal modifications that void your warranty.

Or if you have that all powerful region all player. But yea I don't know if the dub is different from the original R1. I would assume so since you have to pay the VA for there work, and going rates may be different down under. Or perhaps there isn't a dub at all, it just a Japanese with English subs, I could see that happening.
